It was a beautiful day out there today with highs near 80°
and clear blue skies. However, the high
pressure system that brought us sunny skies today is expected to weaken fairly
quickly and move out to our east. Cloud
cover will begin to increase tonight but we should remain dry. I cannot say the same for tomorrow. Rain is creeping back into the forecast for
the rest of this week.
A warm front is headed our way, and it will be bringing
cloudy skies as well as scattered showers with it. That front is expected to then transition
into a stationary front and stall out over our area. So, we expect to see a chance of scattered
showers and thunderstorms for the remainder of the week as that front very
slowly makes its way through.
Although some of these thunderstorms may be strong, severe
weather is not expected at this time. We
will, however, see plenty of rain. The
graphic above shows predicted rainfall totals for tonight through tomorrow
evening. We have already had 1.1” of
rain so far this month in Bowling Green.
We may double that total by the end of this week. We had one of the driest Septembers on record
here in Bowling Green, but now that it is October, we just cannot seem to shake
this rain!
Forecast:
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies, lows near 52°, and
calm winds.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy skies, 60% chance of
showers and thunderstorms, highs near 78°, and winds out of the SSE at around 5
mph.
Tomorrow Night: Mostly cloudy skies, 60% chance of showers
and thunderstorms, lows near 62°, and light winds out of the south.
Thanks for reading, and have a great night!
