Rainy Weekend Ahead

Friday evening is finally here, but unfortunately those rain chances are still around the area and will continue to do so for the next couple of days. Here in Bowling Green, we have picked up just over .64 of an inch of rain in north Warren County, and a little under half an inch south of the county. All of this is coming from the Kentucky Mesonet.

We had a dry spell throughout the afternoon hours, however that was quickly ended as the stationary front continued to produce plenty of light stratiform rain across our area. Tonight, that stationary front will continue to park itself over our region bringing plenty of rain chances tonight, tomorrow, and even into Sunday.

Pictured above is what the NAM 18z run depicts for tonight.

Most of the rain throughout the night tonight should be light in nature. Some more accumulations are possible in rainfall totals. We will have to continue to watch to see how much more rain we get here in south central Kentucky. Be sure to sit back and relax indoors tomorrow, the rain looks to be keeping you inside once again.

Forecast

Tonight: A low of 55 with showers continuing through the area and winds out of the north at 3-5 mph.

Tomorrow: Highs will reach the lower 60s with more rain chances at 70% throughout the day.

Tomorrow Night: A low of 54 with a 70% chance of rain throughout the evening. Winds will be coming from the northeast at 3-5 mph.

Thanks for reading! Stay dry folks!
