The dreary theme continued through the daytime hours. There was not much sun to go around at all, and the aforementioned jet stream did its part in sending cold air our way. Our high was 38° and this morning it was a brisk 26°. This is certainly not typical Thanksgiving weather. Late November in Bowling Green averages highs in the mid 50s, with lows in the mid 30s. These temperatures aren't so far away. In fact, they may return as early as this weekend. With this warm-up comes the chance for some rain, and we'll be watching this pattern closely.

HRRR wind chill forecast for 8 PM |
Given the cold outside, it was a good day to watch football and share meals with friends and family. But for those of you willing to brave the elements, we've got your overnight forecast. Black Friday is right around the corner (in some places, the sales have already started). If you are out and about shopping tonight, expect temperatures to drop into the 20s within the next few hours. The good news is that the wind has been decreasing throughout the day. Wind chills should not be much of a factor. Conditions should be calm by sunrise, but will pick up again out of the south afterwards. Hourly:
9 PM - 29° 12 AM - 28° 3 AM - 27° 6 AM - 25°
Be safe on the roads tonight and give yourself plenty of travel time. There aren't any weather hazards to be concerned with but all major streets will likely be busy.
Tonight: A low of 25° with winds becoming calm. Mostly cloudy skies.
Friday: Mostly sunny with winds from the south at 5-10 mph. High around 46.
Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low near 35°. South winds around 10 mph.
Happy Thanksgiving!
