Gusty Monday Ahead

Widespread showers developed across the area today, making our Sunday afternoon a bit of a washout here in Bowling Green. Temperatures, however, have been nice and warm as highs hit above 60° both today and yesterday. These seasonable temperatures will not stick around for long, as a cold front is expected to move through the region tomorrow morning. Precipitation will continue to linger around the area, with scattered showers expected tonight and into early tomorrow. Some isolated storms are possible along the passage of this front.

Valid 6 AM CST Monday

The low associated with this cold front will continue to rapidly deepen as it moves from the south up toward the Great Lakes. This low will pass over Kentucky tonight and increase the pressure gradient as the cold front strengthens to our west. An increase in the pressure gradient will cause winds to ramp up with strong gusts at times. These winds will die down by Monday evening, behind the passage of the front, and much cooler air will filter into the area Monday night.
