Weekly Cycle Means Cold Week Ahead

It is that time of the year when the weather tends to occur in a repeating pattern that cycles about every week, and as I only post one night a week I've begun to feel that every week I'm writing the same thing. This week is no exception the past couple days this area has been in the warm sector of a low. Because of this we have been experiencing warmer temperatures and clear skies. This all looks to change tomorrow though as the low continues it's journey and moves eastward to our north putting our area in the cold sector. This transition will occur tomorrow probably around dinner time. However, I thought the same thing last week and it came earlier in the afternoon so check back in tomorrow morning for our first blog post of the day for the forecast.
NAM TMPF forecast valid 12 UTC Wed 12 Nov 2014
This map from twister data shows the temperature for 6am Wednesday morning which will be the low temperatures after the cold front passes through.

Whenever the transition does happen it will be marked by a cold front moving through the area bringing rain along with it. Afterwards look for temperatures to plummet overnight tomorrow no matter when the front comes through. Looking ahead to this weekend it looks to be another chilly home football game. There will be a chance to warm up shortly after the game though as the tops open the season in Diddle Arena, followed by a volleyball game that night. Add in the women's basketball game the night before and that means there are four chances to come out and support the tops in twenty-four hours.

Forecast:

Tonight- A low of 48° and calm Southerly winds.
Tomorrow- A high of 63°, winds shifting to come from the north and increasing strength throughout the day, and a 60% chance of showers during the afternoon to evening hours.
Tomorrow Night- A low of 33°, calm winds, and chance of showers.

Thanks for reading and GO TOPS!!!!!
