It may have been cloudy and a bit chilly today, but at
least we stayed dry! That may not be the
case tomorrow. As the high pressure weakens
and lifts off to the east, a stationary front is going to slowly work its way northeast
and bring us a chance for some precipitation as shown in the graphic
below.
This precipitation will start to arrive in our area in
the very early hours of the morning. Scattered
rain showers are expected with this system, but some areas may also see sleet tonight
into tomorrow morning. This will
transition back to just rain during the day tomorrow and that will continue
into tomorrow night. Rain chances will continue all the way into the start of the weekend as this system very slowly moves through.

The stationary front shown above began as a slow
moving warm front, so we will also see a rise in our temperatures with this
system as it brings warm, moist air up from the south. We expect high temperatures in the mid-40s
once again tomorrow, but there will not be the usual cool down overnight
because that will be when that warm air mass will begin to arrive. Temperatures will actually increase during
the overnight hours tomorrow night and we could see temperatures in the 60s again
on Friday.
Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies, a
30% chance of rain/sleet late, lows near 35°, and light winds out of the NNE.
Tomorrow: Cloudy skies, a 50%
chance of showers and AM sleet, highs near 46°, and winds out of the NE at
around 3-5 mph.
Tomorrow
Night: Cloudy
skies, a 60% chance of scattered showers, lows near 46°, and light winds out of
the ENE.
Thanks for reading, and have a great night!
