Colder Start to the Week

Good evening! It's been one whirlwind of a week weather-wise, so it was definitely nice to have things calm down a bit during the day today. Temperatures felt quite warm out there (relatively speaking) in comparison to what we've been experiencing; the high here in Bowling Green hit 39° this afternoon to wrap up our weekend.

It's back to school for WKU students in the morning, as we close out Snow Week 2K15. While there is no significant snow in our near future as was the case this time last week, colder temperatures are on the way. Building high pressure and strong winds from the northwest will bring temperatures down into the mid-teens overnight. Wind chill values could drop as low as 5°.

Cold temperatures will continue tomorrow as high pressure moves closer to our region. Temperatures will struggle to make it above the low 20s, with 10 mph winds from the north causing the air to feel even cooler. Wind chill values look to be in the single digits, with the National Weather Service calling as low as 2°. Be sure to bundle up!

As for tomorrow night, winds will begin to die down as high pressure finally settles into our area. Clearing skies will allow temperatures to drop lower than what's expected tonight.

Forecast

Tonight: Cloudy and cold. Low around 15°. Winds from the north at 10 mph; wind chill values as cold as 5°.

Monday: Partly sunny. High of 23°. Winds from the north around 10 mph; wind chill values in the single digits.

Thanks for reading, and have a great night!
