Rain Moving Out, Cooler Temperatures Moving In

As long as you do not get caught in a stray shower, this Earth Day should be rather pleasant.  We do still have a slight chance of isolated showers, but that chance will diminish as we head into the afternoon.  Although most of the rain is gone, the clouds will be hanging around for most of the day.  It will still be a bit breezy out there too, but not quite as windy as yesterday.

As shown in the graphic below, temperatures are running just slightly below normal after another cold front passed through our area yesterday.  Our normal high for this time of year is about 71°, but we only expect to make it into the low to mid 60s today.  So, today will still be relatively pleasant.  It will be just a bit cooler than we would normally expect in late April.

Looking ahead, we expect clearer conditions tonight into tomorrow as high pressure builds in from the west. However, we may also see some frost as we dip into the upper 30s tonight.  Temperatures will remain just slightly below average for the rest of this week.  Rain chances return this weekend.

Forecast:  Mostly cloudy skies, a 20% chance of isolated showers, highs near 64°, and winds out of the WNW at around 8-12 mph.

Thanks for reading, and happy Earth Day!
