If you’re looking for something to do, go no further than the Big To-Do Festival, which is now in its second year. It all kicks off this afternoon at Edge Hill Farms near Oakland, KY. Highs today will be around 86°, but the music gets started at 5:30. By then, temperatures will be near 83°, still with mostly sunny skies. If you want my picks, you should definitely make a point to see All Deeds Done and Fat Box. The latter will be the headliner, and as they take the stage at 9:00, skies should be all clear with temperatures cooling into the 60s. Bring that jacket or sweater if you’ll be staying late to listen to the music, or if you’ll be camping. Of course, there will be more to do than just live music, so enjoy the lovely weather while you engage in the fun activities they will have available.
High pressure this afternoon is centered over the Kentucky/West Virginia border |
Tomorrow will be the warmest day of the week, with highs just a bit higher at 87°. It won’t be until Saturday until more substantial cloud cover finds its way into south-central Kentucky. The cold front in question is yet to develop, but we are expecting it to arrive late Saturday. This will bring the chance for a few showers on Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. The front itself will pass through before dawn on Sunday, keeping daytime highs in the upper-70s. This will also be the case for Monday, but afterwards, more high pressure returns.
Tonight: Low of 58° under clear skies and a light south wind.
Friday: Highs will be slightly warmer, around 87°, with winds from the southwest at 5 mph. Mostly sunny skies.
Friday night: Mostly clear with some clouds moving in during the pre-dawn hours. Lows near 62° with light southwest winds.
