A trough moved across our region yesterday, which gave us
the possibility of widely scattered storms throughout the state. However,
Bowling Green received a whopping 0.00 inches of rain on Saturday according to
the National Weather Service. But don’t fret! Our next chance of rain will come
into the picture starting on Wednesday. Until then, sunny and dry conditions
are expected. Ridging aloft allowed for a beautiful, sunny Sunday as highs
reached the upper 80s; according to the Kentucky Mesonet, some areas of Warren
County even hit 90°.
High pressure at the surface will allow temperatures to
remain in the upper 80s/low 90s for the next few days as mostly sunny skies
prevail. The start of the workweek will bring back those summer-like highs that
are the norm for this time of year. Be sure to get out and enjoy the sun before
rain chances return later this week! Along with a cold front that will move in within the next
few days, Wednesday and Thursday may bring some scattered showers and
thunderstorms.
