Warm Weather To Stick Around

Good evening everyone. I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the gorgeous day we had. Temperatures did get quite warm today. The high temperature in Bowling Green today was 90° exactly. Not bad for the beginning of August! Here's a look at high temperatures observed across the state.
We'll see more warm temperatures across the state tomorrow, despite being on the backside of a trough. Our upper level support is too weak to produce any showers on Tuesday. However, some increased cloud cover can be expected in front of an approaching cold front.

Forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a low temperature of 62° expected in Bowling Green.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies, with increasing cloud cover in the afternoon hours. A high of 92° can be expected.

Tuesday Night: Increasing cloud cover will limit those lows from dropping too much. Expect a low around 66°

Extended Outlook:

In the next few days, you'll begin to notice some changes in the weather. You'll see high, thin clouds develop tonight and into tomorrow. This is ahead of the aforementioned frontal system. The front will likely move through during Wednesday afternoon. This will cause some lift to enter the area, giving us increased chances of rainfall.

We'll enter a rainy period for the days after Tuesday. Thunderstorms will be possible through the remainder of the week. We could crack a pretty big dent in the moderate drought across the region. Check out the WPC forecast rainfall amounts for the next week. Around 2" can be expected in Bowling Green. We'll see if that bubble can bust!
That'll wrap up this post. Be sure to check out all the latest Bowling Green weather updates on our Facebook page and by following @wkustormteam on Twitter. Have a great evening!
