Sunday Trough

Good Saturday Evening! We hope you are enjoying your Saturday out there in south central Kentucky. You may have had to dodge a few rain showers this afternoon as a few did pass through the area. We thank you for turning to the WKU Storm Team to get your weather information once again on the blog tonight.

That trough is still moving closer into our region and south central Kentucky. We will see it work closer and closer into Bowling Green but the latest model runs have it not packing as big of a punch as we might have thought.
Above is the NAM 12z simulated reflectivity for 10am tomorrow

As picture above, the simulated reflectivity is showing weak signs of the cold front moving through the area for tomorrow. We will have to keep an eye on this throughout the future runs and all tonight. After the cold front moves through, we will be looking at beautiful conditions along with great temperatures.
Surface temperatures for the 12z NAM show 70s on Monday

A beautiful week is in store for us! Don't believe me? Check out the forecast below!

Forecast

Tonight: A warm night with lows reaching 66° and partly cloudy skies, winds will be out of the south at 5 mph.

Tomorrow: Rain chances are still in the forecast despite the previous runs. Highs will reach 83° with a 30% chance of rain and winds out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow Night: A low of 51 with NW winds behind the cold front at 5 to 10 mph.

That's all I have for now! Enjoy folks!
