Warm Weather for the First Week of Classes

Summer for students at WKU may be coming to an end, but the summer-like weather is not over yet. The rain from last night helped cool down the area a bit, but the humidity we experienced today made the air feel overall pretty muggy. The high temperature for Bowling Green was 88°, with the skies clearing as the day progressed. Nothing like some nice sunshine to close out summer!

Current Surface Analysis

An upper-level ridge will keep the heat and humidity around for the first day of classes; overall, the weather on Monday will be very similar to what it was like today. The heat advisory has expired and seasonable temperatures (highs in the upper 80s/lower 90s) will continue for the next several days. With dew points remaining fairly high through the overnight hours, the evening will feel pretty muggy with patchy fog possible during the early morning

Forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a low of 73°. Muggy evening, with possible fog in the morning. Winds from the east up to 5 mph.

Monday: Partly sunny skies with a high around 92°. Slight chance of isolated showers and storms in the afternoon. Winds up to 5 mph.

Monday Night: Party cloudy skies with a low of 72°. Fog possible during the morning hours. Winds from the east at 5 mph, becoming calm.

Thank you for reading and have a great night!

Go Tops!!
