August has brought Bowling Green some much-needed rain,
especially with the heavy precipitation we received on Saturday. As of today,
3.06 inches of rain have been recorded for the month, and more is on the way! A
trough will be digging into our region tonight and into tomorrow, bringing some
unsettled weather along with it. This trough, along with a surface low, will allow
for increased rain chances as the system continues to travel east.
As for tonight, some scattered chances of rain cannot be
ruled out, but most of the precipitation will remain north and east of Bowling
Green. With a weak cold front moving across the area tomorrow evening, no
severe weather is in store, but heavy localized downpours are possible during
the day. This cold front won’t drastically alter the temperature, but it should
relieve us from some of the oppressive humidity that has made the air feel extremely
muggy. The rain we have received lately as well as what is expected for tomorrow
will definitely help with the drought situation we have been experiencing. So
for the start of the workweek, don’t forget your umbrella but embrace the
welcomed rain!
Forecast:

Tomorrow: Showers and thunderstorms expected with a high

Tomorrow night: Scattered rain chances ending overnight. Low

Thanks for reading and have a great night!
