A
slow-moving low pressure system will be our focus for the next day or so. As
this system starts to push east into our region, our chance for precipitation
will increase. A low-level jet, or strong winds relatively low in the
atmosphere, will allow heavy bands of rain to fall over southern Kentucky due
to an abundance of moisture. This rain will continue throughout Sunday evening
and into the start of the workweek. The main threat of this system will be pockets of heavy rain, but a few storms with gusty winds are possible. Cloud
cover will keep temperatures in the mid 80s during the day on Sunday and low 70s
overnight.
