It has been a gloomy day across the area today. Some places have gotten as much as half an inch
of rain since midnight last night as these light but persistent showers made their
way through one after another all day long.
With nothing but cloudy skies and sometimes only minutes in between
these small showers, there was very little change in our weather throughout the
day.
Similarly, we had little change in our temperatures
throughout the day today. Most places
only warmed up 3° to 4° from this morning’s low. Bowling Green’s low was 53° this morning, but
our afternoon high was only 57°! Our normal high temperature for this
time of year would be about 72°. So, as shown in the graphic below, we
were 15° below normal!

The good news is that tomorrow the rain will begin to clear
out and temperatures will begin to warm up.
However, this system is stubborn, and it is going to take a while for
this low to truly lift off to our northeast.
So, while the rain may clear out after tomorrow morning, we will still
be stuck with the cloud cover until tomorrow night. Losing those clouds offers an opportunity for
a greater change in temperatures, though. Our lows tomorrow night will actually
be a little colder than tonight and our highs on Friday will be back into the 70s thanks to the
returning sunshine and a southerly shift in our winds. So, tomorrow will be better than today, but
you can really look forward to the weekend!
Forecast:
Tonight: Cloudy skies, an 80% chance of scattered
showers, lows near 50°, and winds out of the west at around 5 mph.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy, a 20% chance of lingering morning
showers, highs near 63°, and winds out of the west at around 5 mph.
Tomorrow Night: Partly cloudy, lows near 47°, and light winds
out of the south.
Thank you for reading, and have a great night!
