Current Surface Analysis, via NOAA WPC |
The next system in question is currently situated with the low pressure center over the Dakotas. As this system moves east, a warm front will push into our area overnight, allowing for southwest winds and even warmer temperatures tomorrow. According to the National Weather Service, the current record high for October 27th was set in 1919 at 87°; temperatures will definitely be flirting with that record tomorrow. Tonight, temperatures will remain fairly mild thanks to a shortwave ridge in the upper atmosphere, with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Tomorrow night will be much of the same, with clouds beginning to increase with the incoming cold front. Tomorrow will most likely be our last taste of the warm weather, with fall-like conditions prevailing from here on out.
