High pressure around the area has kept our weather calm for
the past few days, as we’ve taken a break from the rain that seemed to dominate
the first part of October. High pressure gave us beautiful fall-like weather to
finish out the weekend, with highs in the low to mid-60s under mostly sunny
skies. It was a perfect day to get out and enjoy an afternoon at Jackson's Orchard (at least that's what I did!). An upper-level trough that is currently moving off the east coast has
kept temperatures in Bowling Green quite a few degrees below normal for this
time of year, as highs are normally right around 70°, according to the National
Weather Service. Below is a temperature map showing today's highs around the area.

Another upper-level trough will be digging into the area
tomorrow, but much of the precipitation will remain to our north and east, in
association with the surface low. However,
an isolated shower cannot be ruled out. Even under the influence of this trough, winds will be
coming from the south at the surface, warming our
temperatures up into the mid to upper 60s for Monday. Some decent cloud cover will be
present during the day tomorrow, but a weak cold front will pass through
tomorrow night, allowing for clearing skies for the days following. Overall,
tomorrow should be pretty calm with warmer temperatures and partly sunny skies.
