Storm Chances Increase

Good Sunday evening to everyone in south central Kentucky and Bowling Green. Here in Warren County we have stayed dry while others around us have experienced some rainfall throughout the day today. Don't worry, everyone is going to get their fair share of rainfall with this system moving in tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our area under a slight risk for severe weather tomorrow and into early Tuesday morning.

Slight risk of storms for Monday evening into Tuesday morning.

The biggest question in the models has been the timing concern and that is one question we will know more about tomorrow. The main threats with this line that is expected to move through will be heavy rain, damaging winds, and some small hail. A brief tornado can not be ruled out as well.

As you wake up tomorrow, rain should be falling across south central Kentucky. We will have to keep an eye on this because more rain will keep our atmosphere more stable. Any peaks of sunshine or clearing in the clouds could increase our chances to see severe weather that night. We will have to keep an eye on this and keep you updated on Twitter and Facebook. We will have more details about this in our severe weather tab on the blog! Be sure to keep checking back for updates!

Forecast

Tonight: Scattered showers with a low of 63. We will see winds out of the south at 5-10 mph with more muggy conditions tonight.

Tomorrow: SLIGHT RISK is still in effect for those in Bowling Green and south central Kentucky. We will see highs in the low 80s with rain in the morning, and severe storms possible late tomorrow night.

Tomorrow Night: Severe weather threat is at the biggest tomorrow night with a low of 64. We will keep you updated with winds out of the south at 15-20mph.

Stay weather aware!
