It was a cold but dry end
to 2014 today. Temperatures topped out
right at freezing in Bowling Green with a high temperature of 32°. However, thanks to the high pressure building
in from the west, we saw no precipitation of any kind and even saw some clear
skies this afternoon.
Tomorrow will be a bit
warmer. High temperatures will be around
40° under partly cloudy skies. During
the day tomorrow, we will once again remain dry. There is a slight chance that we could see a
wintry mix late tomorrow night as the system shown in the southwest corner of
the graphic below begins to make its way into our area. However, with strong high pressure and dry air
located over our area, it is more likely that any precipitation will hold off
until Friday.

Looking ahead, a mix of
rain and sleet is possible on Friday with rain likely Friday night through Saturday
night and possibly continuing into Sunday.
So, the first weekend of 2015 looks like it is going to be a wet
one. However, with temperatures as warm
as the mid-50s possible on Saturday, there is plenty of rain and little wintry
precipitation expected.
Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly clear skies, lows near 20°, and very light winds
out of the SSW.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies, highs near 40°, and winds out of
the southwest at around 5-8 mph.
Tomorrow Night:
Cloudy skies, a slight
chance of a mix of rain and sleet late, lows near 32°, and winds out of the
southwest at around 3-5 mph.
Thanks for reading, and
have a happy New Year!
