Less Cloudy, Still Chilly

Good morning!

We are off to a cloudy start this morning, but high pressure will bring some breaks from the clouds this afternoon.  However, as cold air continues to filter in from the northwest, brief moments of sunshine will not be enough to keep the cold away.  As shown in the graphic below, temperatures across the area will struggle to reach 40° today.  So, while it may not be quite as dreary, today will still be plenty chilly.

As we move into the overnight hours tonight, clouds will be on the increase.  We may even see some mixed precipitation in the early morning hours tomorrow.  So, although your commute looks dry today, that may not be the case tomorrow.  This wintry mix, however, is not expected to bring much accumulation, if any We will have more details on that system in this evening’s blog post.

Forecast:  Mostly cloudy skies, highs near 40°, and winds out of the northwest at around 5 mph.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
