It was another chilly day out there today! Temperatures across the area topped out right
around 40° under mostly cloudy skies.
Despite some stubborn clouds, we stayed dry today. However, that may not be the case overnight
tonight.
A weather system moving in from the southern plains will
bring us a chance for some mixed precipitation tonight and into tomorrow
morning. Light precipitation will begin
to fall shortly after midnight, and some may begin to freeze as temperatures fall close to 30° by the early morning hours. The graphic below shows that we could possibly
get more than a tenth of an inch of total precipitation in the next 24 hours. However, if there is any wintry accumulation,
it is expected to be very light. It is
possible that there could be a few slick spots on the roads for your morning
commute, so drive with a little extra caution tomorrow morning.
