There is Hope for Sunshine

December continues to be felt on this Thursday morning with the typical cold and dreary weather that often symbolizes weather, and if you're feeling a little "grayed out" from all of the recent cloud cover, hold fast, there is at least a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Right now regional temperatures are in the 30s with winds out of the north and northwest.

Ky Mesonet locations showing winds out of the north and northwest, keeping Warren county in the 30s this morning.

This is keeping the cold temperatures and clouds in play this morning. By the afternoon, the area of low pressure across New England drifts away from us, and a center of high pressure slides by to our west. This should enable a few peeks of sunshine today as temperatures hit the low 40s. Seeing sun today could only be a small amount compared to the days to come.

Stay tuned to the evening blog for the latest on when sunshine could return.

Have a good one!
