Warmer Monday

Ridging in the upper atmosphere allowed for some clearing skies for part of our Sunday. It was a nice change to the dreary week we've experienced! According to the National Weather Service, Bowling Green hit 48° for the high and 38° for the morning low. Warm air advection will be on the rise tomorrow, with winds from the south allowing temperatures to reach into the 50s across the area.

The weak ridging that brought us pleasant weather today will be replaced by an upper-level trough (dip in the jet stream) come tomorrow. A low pressure system and associated cold front will propagate to the east, situating over the Great Lakes tomorrow night. This will work to bring cooler temperatures to the area, with the chance of some light precipitation Tuesday. More details to come in tomorrow night's blog post.
