Good morning!
This is going to be a wet
and windy Christmas Eve. The low
pressure system and the associated cold front will be moving though our area
today, and chances for rain showers will continue behind them. The winds will also pick up significantly
once the front passes this morning and could result in gusts as high as 30-35
mph possible. As shown in the graphic
below, areas to our east are under a wind advisory this afternoon and evening when the system will be arriving there.

The passing of this front
will also bring us a shift in our temperatures.
As we move into the colder air mass on the back side of the cold front,
temperatures will begin to decrease.
Although we are starting off warm in the mid-50s this morning,
temperatures will drop into the mid-40s this afternoon.
If you are out traveling
today, be careful since the roads will be wet.
Check back this evening for your Christmas Day forecast. It looks as if tomorrow will be colder, but
it will finally stop raining just in time for Christmas!
Forecast: Cloudy
skies, a 70% chance of scattered showers, temperatures falling into the mid-40s
by the afternoon, and winds out of the west at around 8-15 mph with gusts as
high as 30-35 mph possible.
Thanks for reading, and
have a very merry Christmas Eve!
