Historic Winter Storm Octavia Continues Throughout Monday

Gooooooood morning!!

All of us are waking up to extremely snowy conditions this Monday morning. Most places across our region have reported somewhere around 3-5 inches thus far.

Winter Storm Octavia will continue to work its way across Kentucky for almost all of today. By tomorrow, we could very easily have over a foot of snow on the ground. Traveling will be undoubtedly hazardous today, so please, if possible, avoid being on the road.

Snowfall being cleared on WKU's campus this morning.

As for when we will see this snow gone by, it could take a while. Temperatures are not expected to rise above the freezing mark until this Saturday. Therefore, we should be seeing A LOT of white throughout the work week.

Today: Extreme snowfall. Highs in the mid-20s, with lows in the low-teens.
Tonight: Snow eventually comes to a stop as Octavia clears Bowling Green.

Today will be relentless, snowing most of the day.
Everybody, be safe during this time! Check in with the Storm Team periodically for more updates.
