Surface circulations tomorrow afternoon |
The ups and downs aren't going be stopping any time soon, but at least it looks like the upcoming swings won't be so extreme. While today's high was very close to the climate average for Bowling Green, we will be overshooting that tomorrow by a good margin. The graphic above illustrates how the surface dynamics will contribute to a much warmer Saturday. Check out the circulation of high pressure off the Georgia coast. It's churning a pleasant air mass through Dixie Alley and into south-central Kentucky. Add in some more sunny blue skies and highs will be close to 60° tomorrow!
Sunday morning, as a result, will be much more mild. Lows should be in the mid-40s, and we'll enjoy a second day of fifties temps. Clouds will be increasing in coverage through tonight into tomorrow though, and by Sunday afternoon, there will be a chance of showers as a cold front passes. If you surmised that this will be the end of the March-like temperatures, you would be correct. The weather will slide back into seasonable marks for the early part of the workweek.
So tomorrow is Saturday and with such spectacular weather coming up, make sure you find a way to enjoy it. How will you take advantage of it? Let us know on our Facebook page or Twitter.
Tonight: Some clouds with a low of 32°. South winds at 5 mph.
Saturday: A high near 58° with mostly sunny skies. Winds from the southwest at 10 mph, gusting to 20,
Saturday night: Cooling to 45° with clouds moving in. South winds at 10 mph.
