We topped out at a high
of 52° in Bowling Green today. Normal
highs for this time of year would be 49°, so we were just slightly above
average. However, that is all about to
change. I hope you had the opportunity
to enjoy the weather because today was the warmest it will be for quite a
while.
A cold front moved
through our area earlier this afternoon.
Now that the sun has set, temperatures have begun to fall and will
bottom out in the lower 20s before sunrise. However, we will not make much of a recovery
during the day tomorrow. As shown in the graphic below, high temperatures will
only make it into the mid 20s. This
combined with winds out of the northwest at around 10-15 mph and gusts as high
as 30 mph could potentially result in wind chill values in the single digits at
times.

In addition to these much
colder temperatures, the passage of this low pressure system has also brought
us a slight chance for some isolated snow showers late tonight and into
tomorrow morning. That could cause some
concern for the morning commute.
However, little to no accumulation is expected as any snow that does
fall will be very light and scattered.
Looking ahead, it does
not appear that we will be getting much relief from the incoming cold anytime
soon. High pressure will settle in over the
region and at least keep us dry.
However, we could see low temperatures in the single digits and highs in
the lower 20s this weekend.
Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies, a 20% chance of isolated snow
showers late, lows near 22°, and winds out of the northwest at around 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies, a 20% chance of isolated AM snow
showers, highs near 26°, and winds out of the northwest at around 10-15 mph
with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Tomorrow Night:
Partly cloudy skies, lows
near 12°, and winds out of the NNW at around 2-6 mph.
Thanks for reading, and
have a great night!
