Temperatures will be
slightly above average today under mostly sunny skies. However, that will change quickly. A cold front is going to move through the region
later this afternoon. Due to the arctic
air mass behind it, we will see a sharp drop in temperatures and a chance of some
light snow showers tonight and into tomorrow morning. It will be cold enough that any snow we do
receive will probably stick. However, I
would not expect any more than a few flurries or possibly a dusting.

The snow may cause some
travel concerns for tomorrow’s morning commute, but it is not expected to be a
major issue. The real story here will be
the temperatures. The graphic above shows temperature departures from
normal. The below normal temperatures nosing
into the plains from Canada are headed our way tonight. We will make it into
the low to mid 50s today, but that will be the last time we will see
temperatures that warm for a while.
Although the 50s may not exactly be considered warm, get outside and
enjoy it if you can because highs will be in the 20s and 30s for the next week.
Forecast: Mostly sunny skies, highs near 54°, and winds out of
the west at around 5-8 mph.
Thanks for reading, and
have a great day!
