A Not So Beautiful Day Ahead

This week has been one that's featured lots of what many would call amazing weather, and as we get ever so close to the weekend, Mother Nature has decided she wants to shake it up a bit.

Happy Thursday, and if you haven't yet noticed, it's a wet morning out there. Clouds and showers moved through during the wee hours of the morning. As of this writing, there's a bit of a lull in the action, but another round of showers is expected to move in with our cold front right around the early afternoon.

Yes, a cold front, and one that will surely be felt, is putting a bit of an end to the above average temperatures we've had these past few days.

Stepping outside right now, things are in the low to mid 50s, with 60s just to the east, and 40s knocking on our doorstep.

KY Mesonet data shows cold front approaching with warmth to the east and cooler conditions to the north and west of Warren County.

Once that moves through, temperatures will come tumbling as the remainder of the afternoon progresses, so if you've put your jacket away, go ahead and get it back out, because you're going to need it for more than just today.

How long? If you're asking, stop back in for our evening blog tonight, where we'll have that answer just for you.

Here's to hoping Thursday finds, and leaves you, on a good note.

Stay dry!
- Chris Reece
