Rain Returning for the Workweek

What a beautiful weekend we've had across the Commonwealth, perfect for cheering on the Tops at Nick Denes Field or enjoying nature at Shanty Hollow! Temperatures today reached right around 80° here in Bowling Green - 10° warmer than normal for this time of year. I hope you were able to take in some of that sunshine, because rain chances return for the workweek.

Tonight will remain dry, with mild temperatures around 60°. Rain chances come back into play tomorrow, with showers and storms expected  thanks to moisture from the Gulf and a passing cold front.

The rain looks to really pick up during the afternoon and continue into the evening hours, due to the forcing of the front moving through the area. No severe weather is expected from this system, but I'd recommend you pack your umbrella, as up to an inch of rain could fall through Monday night.

Showers will continue well into the overnight hours, with temperatures hanging around 60° until about dawn on Tuesday. Tuesday will give us a bit of a break from the rain, with temperatures right around normal for this time of year.

Forecast

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, low around 60°. Winds from the southeast at 5-10 mph.

Monday: Showers and storms. High of 73°. Winds from the south up to 10 mph.

Monday Night: Showers continuing, low of 55° by dawn. Winds becoming north at 5-10 mph.

Thanks for reading and have a great night!
