Warm/Stormy Week Likely

Good morning!

With the conclusion of the Easter holiday, we look ahead towards a warm and rainy week. Highs for today will reach the low-70s, and we could even see 80 degrees tomorrow.  As for rain, each day until the weekend looks to have a fairly good chance of precipitation. It is likely to be periodic, depending on the level of instability in the atmosphere, we could start seeing spotty thunderstorms tomorrow.

The last few days of the week look to be very active. The Storm Prediction Center is closely monitoring a severe weather situation between Wednesday-Friday that is expected to occur in the states west of us, but that doesn't mean we are totally in the clear, either. We'll know more as the week goes on, but as for now we must mention it.

SPC Outlook shows the severe outlook for later this week.
An umbrella is recommended this week! Check a radar often, because most of the rain we'll see will be pop-up precipitation.

Thanks!

James Bryant
