We have seen some
miserably hot and muggy weather recently.
However, thanks to a cold front, we now get to enjoy cooler and less
humid conditions for the midweek. That
cold front brought us nearly a quarter inch of rain early in the day
today. However, now that it has passed, our
winds have turned and will be coming from the north, which is responsible for
our more pleasant conditions.
Today’s high was 89° in Bowling
Green. As shown below, we will be
cooling off slightly with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s tomorrow and Thursday. The best part is that, thanks to lower
humidity, it will actually feel like the mid to upper 80s instead of having
heat index values that are much hotter. Lows will be ranging from the upper 60s
to low 70s.

As shown below, the cold
front that moved through earlier today is stalling out to our south and
becoming a stationary front. That stationary
front is going to shift slightly northward tomorrow night and Thursday, which
will bring us a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Most of the rain with stay to our south, but
we may see a few showers and storms here in south central Kentucky. There is no severe weather threat
anticipated.

Looking further ahead, we
will dry out on Friday and temperatures will begin to rise again. Afternoon temperatures will be running right
around 90° on both Friday and Saturday. Another
chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected to arrive on Sunday. However, most of the weekend looks like it
will be dry.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies, lows near 70°, and light winds
out of the northwest.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies, highs near 87°, and winds out of
the northeast at around 3-6 mph.
Tomorrow Night:

Thanks for reading, and
