Weekend Rain Chances

Friday have finally came to an end for those working and the students and all of Bowling Green are gearing up to go cheer on the Tops as they take on the Falcons of Bowling Green State University. We reached a high of 91 degrees today and the temperatures will be dropping throughout the night. Tonight is going to be the best night to get out and enjoy some activities with the family as we have no rain chances. Unfortunately, we are not that lucky throughout the weekend both tomorrow and on Sunday.

As the low pressure systems moves off to the north, warm moist air will work into Bowling Green tomorrow allowing for scattered storms to fire bringing us some more rainfall across south central Kentucky. If you don't see rain on round one, you could very well be impacted Sunday as a cold front moves through bringing us with more lift and instability in the atmosphere to produce storms.

Forecast

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with winds south at 5 mph. We will stay mostly quiet tonight other than the students celebrating a Tops victory.

Tomorrow: 40% Chance of thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon hours. Winds will be out of the southwest at 9 mph with a high of 90 degrees.

Tomorrow Night: Rain will continue as temperatures drop down into the lower 70s. Winds will be out of the south at 5 mph with a forecast of a  low 72 degrees.

Enjoy the evening! Go Tops!
