Heat Tomorrow, Rain Ahead

Once that morning fog cleared out, today was another beautiful day across the Bowling Green area with highs in the mid-80s, low humidity, and a mix of sun and clouds.  We do have one more day of heat left this week before a cold front system is going to move through.  Although, the dew points are not expected to be too terribly high tomorrow, so humidity is not going to be much of a problem.

A weak warm front is going to pass through our area overnight tonight.  It will bring us a little more cloud cover, but no rain is expected.  The cold front behind it is a different story.  During the day tomorrow we are going to be in the warm sector of this system with some warm southerly winds.  However, as shown in the graphic below, tomorrow night into Thursday morning a rather large cold front is going to make its way into our area and bring us some showers and thunderstorms.

Although we could possibly see some damaging wind gusts tomorrow night, we are not really expecting any severe weather with this system.  As shown in the graphic below, the SPC has issued a slight risk for severe weather in some areas to our north and northwest.  However, we do not expect to see any of that here in Bowling Green.

As for the rest of your week, we are expecting to see those showers and thunderstorms stick around for part of the day on Thursday.  However, once those clear out we should be seeing some rather nice weather behind that cold front.  Highs this weekend are only expected to be in the mid-70s!

Forecast:

Tonight:  Mostly cloudy skies, lows near 68°, and winds out of the SSE at around 3-5 mph.

Tomorrow:  Partly cloudy skies, highs near 89°, and winds out of the south at around 10-15 mph.

Tomorrow Night:  Cloudy skies, a 70% chance for showers and thunderstorms late, lows near 72°, and winds out of the south at around 8-10 mph.

Have a great night!
