Scattered precipitation earlier today began what will become an active weather pattern over Bowling Green for the first half of the week. Temperatures hit 49° this afternoon, so we're only a few degrees off our normal for this time of year! However, a cold front moving through the region tonight will bring us the possibility of a light wintry mix before the start of the workday tomorrow. Accumulation will be light, if any. Temperatures at the surface will drop below freezing around midnight, transitioning drizzle into freezing drizzle; therefore, some slick spots are possible.

High pressure will be moving into the region tomorrow, giving us a lull in the active weather pattern before more precipitation comes into play on Tuesday. Even with the cold front moving through tonight, temperatures will still reach into the low 40s for the day tomorrow. High pressure will allow drier air to move in for the time-being, so some breaks in the clouds are expected by the afternoon.

Winds will shift southeasterly Monday night into Tuesday, causing much warmer temperatures and moist air from the Gulf to funnel into the region. Lows on Monday night look to remain above freezing, with the chance for precipitation beginning after midnight.
Forecast
Tonight: Transition from drizzle to freezing drizzle possible; little to no accumulation is expected. Low of 30°. Winds becoming northwesterly then northerly after midnight.
Monday: Partly sunny skies with a high of 42°. Winds from the northeast at 5-10 mph.
Monday Night: Chance of rain after midnight, otherwise mostly cloudy. Low around 33°. Winds variable up to 5 mph.
Thanks for reading and have a great night!
