Warm Start to September

Our highs have been in the upper 80s the past few days, but temperatures are on the rise.  It will not be a very large increase, but we will be looking at high temperatures in the low 90s for the rest of this week.  So, September is off to a warm start.

This stretch of hotter weather may seem a bit late in the season, but we had a relatively mild August.  Normally, Bowling Green would experience sixteen days of 90° or higher temperatures during the month of August.  However, this August, we only had four days that hot.  It is possible that we could see more than that during the first week of September!

High pressure will keep our skies mostly sunny.  The remainder of the work week looks like it will be dry aside from an isolated popup shower or storm due to the more steamy conditions.  However, none are expected at this time.  There is a slight chance of rain in the forecast for Labor Day weekend, but we will have more on that later in the week.

Forecast:

Tonight:  Partly cloudy skies, lows near 66°, and calm winds.

Tomorrow:  Patchy fog possible early in the morning, mostly sunny skies, highs near 91°, and light winds out of the east.

Tomorrow Night:  Partly cloudy skies, lows near 68°, and calm winds.

Thanks for reading, and have a great night!
